Grippy tannins and dense with loads of structure. It shows darker cherry fruit, wild berries, brown spice and red florals as well as a nicely integrated earthiness. The finish is long and unbelievably seductive. Lamb cutlets/roast to match the grippy tannins.

"Both Anna and I have lived and worked in Marlborough for most of our careers and in that time have been lucky enough to gain considerable experience growing, making and marketing Marlborough wine. From our early days here we have always had a desire to start our own small wine business, established without compromise for quality and with complete authenticity.

Working together to create something in celebration of our families and their connection to the land, is very important to us. Our ambition with all Corofin wines is to transmit a sense of place first, over fruit intensity or winemaking ambition. We have chosen to work with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay being the two varietals we believe will amplify the transparent expression we seek from the land.

We are excited to be working with trusted and admired friends as growers. Their vineyards are all located in Marlborough's southern valleys and we hope our little Pinot Project will shine a light on some pretty special spots in the region our family calls home."
