This section has been put together to answer any questions you have regarding the world of wine. The place to come for all things wine education and dining education aka Win-Ed and Din-Ed.
The grape varieties section consists of a white varietal wheel and a red varietal wheel which both list a large number of varieties, heaviest at the core, moving to lightest on the outer circle. We will soon have a function where you can hover over the variety and a little info box will pop up, telling you a bit about the grape.
'Wine Speak' aims to explain the common wine terms used by people that work in the world of wine, a glossary of terms if you like. We too often rattle off our jargon and forget that a lot of it is foreign to people.
We have put together a serving temperatures chart which we hope will come in handy when drinking your wine. It's not meant to be too technical, merely a guide so you can enjoy the wine you are drinking at its optimum. We certainly don't expect you to be using a thermometer in your wine, just give or take a couple of degrees and you will be on track to experiencing all the correct flavours.
Our Get Savvy section is the myth-busting, do's and don'ts when it comes to wine. We will update this section regularly with questions you may have.
