Winner of 25 Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Awards - Gambero Rosso Winery of the Year 1999. Established in 1995, Planeta is a Sicilian wine producer built on a long agricultural tradition, handed down through 17 generations. Operating in the area between Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi, today Planeta represents not just one, but six ways of developing the territory. With six distinct Planeta wine producing estates, each one specialises in a specific research and development project. It is through this network of properties, that Planeta can conduct a virtual journey around Sicily and its greatest wines.

Enjoying a deep bond with the oldest wine-making Sicilian tradition, Planeta also produce those international favourites, such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet, while putting an unmistakeable mark on the varieties through the unique landscape.
